More of a desktop animation than a screensaver, Snow for Windows is a highly customizable treat for the holidays. Though peppered with a few too many promotional prompts, installation is quick. Within the program’s settings you’ll find a bounty of customizing options. See snow fall in a variety of sizes, colors, shapes, and densities; send Santa riding across the screen with just a few or a whole herd of deer; and introduce a lumbering polar bear to the scene, whether tiny or hulking. Finally, no winter wonderland is complete without fir trees, so toggle those on to scatter them over the desktop. Snow for Windows won’t bring world peace, but it will bring seasonal cheer to your work space.
