Watch the dancing spectra on your phone by simply placing your phone near a your media player, car stereo, or radio while playing music. For professional, a paid version can be purchased in the application which enables peak indicator with animation, sensitivity adjustment, changing window functions, and no advertisement. Note that the application only shows frequency 0 – 8 KHz because the microphone sampling rate is fixed at 16 KHz. Version 2.3.930.0 – One-third octave frequency bands is now available. Version 2.2.914.0 – You can now display engineer’s mode in decibel scale. Version 2.1.905.0 – Recalibrated sensitivities of all frequency bands. High frequency bands are now more sensitive. Version 2.1.721.0 – Engineer’s mode is now available. Version 2.0.623.1 – Response time has been dramatically improved, thanks to the brand new high performance processing engine. Version 1.3.602.0 – You can now configure microphone sensitivity or have the application configure that automatically. Version 1.2.519.0 – The program now run with less CPU utilization. Version 1.2.420.0 – Static and animated peak indicators are now available.

Option 1: Use Parallels

Parallels is the fastest, easiest, and most powerful option to run Windows on your Mac. Data can be shared between Mac and Windows and switching between the two is as simple as switching screens. Pros: Very Cost-Effective; Easily transfer files; Easily switch between Windows & Mac.

Cons: May see a slight decrease in performance; Cost varies from $50-80 for a personal license.

Option 2: Use Bootcamp

Boot Camp is a boot utility included with most Apple desktop and laptop products that allows users to install a Windows operating system alongside the native macOS/OS X operating system. Using Bootcamp is a relatively technical process and should probably only be undertaken by someone who understands the process.

Pros: Free; Good option if you need high performance or are using an older machine.

Cons: Switching between operating systems requires a restart; difficult, technical installation process.
